Markham Ringette Fundraiser For Covenant House
Submitted By Social Media on Wednesday, December 05, 2018
Come and cheer on your MRRA Coaches and watch them play an exhibition game with the Markham Ladies Ringette team. Bring a donation for Covenant House Toronto for admission to the game. We will also be collecting toy donations that will be distributed to both the Salvation Army and the Children’s Centre at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

Message from Covenant House:

This Christmas, we anticipate requiring 250 gift bags for our youth. Seventy percent (70%) of our youth are male and thirty percent (30%) are female between the ages of 16 and 24. Given the higher ratio of male to female, we are asking for larger sizes (i.e. XXL, XL in clothing) and greater volume of male-specific items.

Wish List

The following is a wish list of the items we would like to provide for our youth:

  • Backpacks
  • Gift cards
  • Movie passes
  • Fast food vouchers – McDonalds, Tim Horton’s, Starbucks etc.
  • TTC tokens
  • Sweat shirts/Hoodies
  • Wallets (male & female)
  • Toiletries (Unscented products preferred)
  • House slippers
  • Flash drives
  • Chocolate bars/Candy (nut free/no gum for stockings)
  • Toothbrushes, toothpaste
  • Batteries “AA”
  • Chapstick/Lip Balm
  • Hair Combs and Brushes
  • Shampoo, Conditioner and other hair styling products
  • Other gifts that promote Christmas cheer are also appreciated

We ask that all donations are unwrapped. Please do not pre-package your donations into individual gifts for our kids. We divide the donations we receive evenly among our kids.

We look forward to seeing all our coaches and players support this fun event!
