Dressing Room (Markham-Stouffville Ringette)

PrintDressing Room

In accordance with Southern Region Ringette Association (SRRA) recommendations around team preparedness, Markham Ringette has adopted the following dressing room policy for all games:

  • All players are expected to arrive at least 45 minutes before game time to ensure sufficient time to warm up, dress, and participate in the coach's pre-game talk.
  • Parents are not permitted in the dressing room for all teams U9 and older. For those ages, players are expected to be able to dress themselves with the exception of skate tying. Teams may provide female chaperones for supervision (not dressing assistance) as necessary.
  • Players may either leave the dressing room to have their skates tied, or if all players are dressed then team staff is permitted into the dressing room to tie skates.
  • All players must be dressed and ready for the ice 15 minutes prior to game time.
  • The coach and bench staff are permitted in the dressing room 15 minutes prior to game time for the pre-game talk. Players that arrive for the game during these 15 minutes must wait until the coach completes his/her talk before getting dressed in that dressing room.
  • Coaches shall use their discretion as to whether to impose penalties on players who are not ready to start within 15 minutes of game time. For example, the penalty could be a reduction in a player's ice time during the first period.
