BEAR CUBS RINGETTE PROGRAM
Bear Cubs is a place for beginning ringette players to learn to skate, develop their skating ability and to become comfortable with the rules and skills needed to play ringette.
We take players 4 years old to 10 years old with no prior skating experience.
Players in Bear Cubs power skate with certified instructors (
we have a 1 to 5 ratio of instruction) once a week and learn to play ringette with other Bear Cubs once a week. Players spend anywhere from 1-2 years in the Bear cubs program before progressing to Rep style ringette. Players in Bear Cubs receive at least 40 hours of ice each season, a team picture and an end of the year banquet.
The Markham-Stouffville Bear Cubs Ringette Program follows the House League Format - all sessions this season are held at Angus Glen Community Centre ice pads on the following schedules:
- Wednesday Sessions: Power skating/skills training, 5:15pm - 6:05pm
- Saturday Sessions: Ringette skills and scrimmages, 8:00am - 8:50am
The cost for the full program is $440.

has a rental program for cages and will lend your player a stick and a jersey for the season.
The Markham Ringette Association is organized by volunteers. We request your help with coaching a Bear Cubs team, running the score clock, helping with player evaluations, or by joining an executive committee such as fund-raising, or recruiting.
